brightshadowsky, I need your help. I started on my turtleneck shirt tonight and I tried to make gauge. This is what it says:
Gauge: 11 sts = 2"; 31 rows = 4" in St st with size 8 needles.
I used the size 8's as suggested, got the 2 inches across, but at 31 rows I make aprox 6"?????? What do I do now??? I've never done this before, believe it or not so I'm at a bit of a loss. I hope you can help. Thanks!!!!
And yes, you read it right, I finally started on something for me. I figured that after finishing my 21st (or was that 22nd?) shawl I had earned the right to do so. I think it'll look great once it's done. Provided I ever get far enough with it to finish it. The color's lovely ^_^ I can't wait to have it all done, but it'll take me a while I'm afraid. Oh well. At least I got started!
