Well, I went to have my hair cut this morning. A lady from my church cuts hair for a descent price, and I'd seen some of the ladies she's cut hair for, so I figured I'd give it a go. Here's the before pictures, both front and back:

Please excuse the dorky look lol. I'm probably going to try and color my hair this week, if all goes according to plan, if and when that happens, I'll be sure to post the results (provided it goes well, if it's horrid, sorry, but you're on your own lol).

It feels pretty strange right now, very light and short. She cut about 4 inches or so off, and it makes a big difference. I'll get used to it though. The main thing I'm worried about is if she got all of the places that tend to knot up. Far as we could tell she had, but time'll tell for sure. If it didn't get taken care off, next time it'll get cut shorter still *gulps*. Oh well, better this way then the knots, I suppose ^_^.

It is shorter alright, it looks like it was as long as you always used to wear it if I recall correctly.
Why didn't you have it cut short, like you had in Denmark and here in Holland? That looked very good on you as well. It looked young and sassy I think is the word for it.(gaf je een lekker pittig koppie, and you liked that too ).
Hope the colouring works, but it should do, no reason why it shouldn't. Am looking forward to those pics as well. Bring them on girl.:)

Because I don't like my hair short. It was ok for what it had to be, but I prefer long hair. You should know that by now.

Yes I do know you like long hair, took ya long enough to persuade us to let it grow.
I thought you liked it when it was short from 1999 till 2001.
All I know is that generally I like you better with short hair, but that is me.
But it is your head, you like it, your choice.:)

The fact that I prefer short hair on you is my personal opinion.

And yes I have accepted ages ago ( about 20 years ? )the fact that you want long hair, if I hadn't you wouldn't have had long hair till you came of age.
And I liked what you have done with your hair when you were still living overhere (before Denmark), the things we have bought for it to make it look nice, the things we have done to it, yes I liked...........BUT I still would have preferred short hair :P.

Have you already coloured your hair and did you like the result? It should do, we have coloured it loads of times before, with even longer hair.

Aww, that is a shame. He can redo it though, and do it right this time. If it hasn't turned out the way it should it can be redone straight away. The only time you have to wait a week is with a perm and highlights.

I get my haircolour in UK as it is so much cheaper there, more then half the price cheaper (ofcourse as with everything, it depends where you buy it, what I buy isn't on offer, they always sell it at that price, I pay £2.49 for it, which is about €4.--, how much is it overthere?).

You and I both have had red highlights done as well as the blond ones, remember?

Uhm, I paid $7.99 for this one, on sale. I can get stuff that's cheaper but... not recommendable (you really get what you pay for in those cases).

This is the same brand that I used to buy overhere, so it isn't a cheap brand, when I am in UK I always get about 6 that will tie me over till I get there again. It would be stupid to pay more for it if not needed, I can spend that money on something else :).

Yeah I suppose. I used Feria this time, as I liked the color best of what was available, and because it was on sale. Normally it costs almost 11 bucks

As far as I remember Feria costs more overhere, sometimes I have a look out of curiosity (SP?)at what different breands cost overhere and in UK. Is always handy to know, that way you can get the best of the 2 countries.

Feria is a more expensive brand, but a good one. Like I said, I got this on sale, so it was equal to what I would've had to pay for a brand that's less well known

Yeah, I have no idea how much that is here at the moment, that is why I started to do it in the first place, because I didn't have the money to have it done, and still wanted to have a colour. And it is pretty easy to do it yourself, or as in your case have someone do it, because as you know it is easier when you stand above someone, you can see what it is you are doing that way. (when you were still living here we used to colour eachothers hair remember)

Yeah I remember..Henrik did it a few times for me as well. I hope Dustin gets the hang of it and will be willing to do it again (and does it right this time), so we can save on that. The only time I will go and get it done instead of doing it myself is (if I've got the money by then) come summertime, when I want to go a few shades lighter. Since that involves a lot more work and it does different things to your hair then coloring it reddish, I feel more comfortable having someone do it who knows their stuff. If it doesn't happen this year, it will happen in the future lol.
Dustin says though, that if he can't get it right and looking nice this next time, he'd rather pay to get it done. I can't do it myself, because I simply can't see what I'm doing, which isn't a good thing, as you know. Time will tell though

Ofcourse Dustin can do it, it isn't taht difficult, he just needs to make sure he gets it everywhere on your hair, from the root, and rub it in very well.
Henrik could do it and so could I. I know it is hard to do yourself when you have long hair and you need someone else to do it for you. He can do it if he follows the guidelines.

About colouring your hair lighter, be careful there, you have done it before, and it made your hair very dry and brittle. Even when it was done by a proffesional, it is just the stuff they use to make it lighter that your hair doesn't like.

No, I haven't...but at least one of them I wouldn't trust near my head, no matter how often she's dyed her own hair lol. And it's not that she's (Trina) dyeing someone else's hair, it's the uhm... how to put it... (in-)descency of how you have to be that gets her. She's a bit...prudish lol (at least when it comes to that)

Oh my, laughs, well can't you put on a very old (dark)tshirt that can be washed afterwards, one which doesn't matter if it should get stains on it and might not get out during the wash? That way you don't have to be in a state of undressed, it isn't as if you are totally naked anyway is it( you still got your bra and knickers on).

*chuckles* once when we were still living in her home, I walked through the house in a shirt and my undies.... and she freaked out. Some people are worse then me, which is a scary thought ^_~. And yes, I could, but still. I think for her it's more the thought of it *shrugs*. I don't know, doesn't matter anyway. It's not like I do my hair every week ^_~

Shakes her head, yeah that is bad, man, you are seing more of you when you wear a bikini ( not that you wear one, but you know what I mean).
And you could also wear a very old almost ready to throw away pair of pants with the tshirt lol.
And yeah I know you don't do your hair every week, but that isn't the point is it.
I hope you will find a solution if Dustin doesn't want to do it any more after the next time.

I had a look overhere for the price of Feria when I was at the drugstore yesterday. The price is €12.99 which is $15.61, so you can see quite a bit more then the $11.00 you said you would have to pay when it isn't on offer.

Stickes tongue back at ya ........ as they say, you get what you pay for. But yeah it is a lot of money, seing it fades away after few weeks and has to be done again. That is why I am so glad to have found that drugstorechain in Uk where my brand is more then half the price overhere. Maybe you can find it even cheaper then the price you paid for it on offer. It wouldn't hurt to look around before you need it, at least you would know where to go if you can't afford it at the time you see it.

I do shop around, but prices usually are comperative for those things overhere, except on sale.

They are here as well as you well know, nothing has changed there.
But in England is a drugstorechain called " Super Saver " and they are really quite a bit cheaper then anywhere else, so for quite a few things I try and look overthere when I am in Uk (bulk buying comes to mind here lol ).
