I finished my first sock! And I can actually put it on my foot!!! I made it an ankle sock, so I did it in 2 days. So cool. Would've done it in about that time if it'd been a regular one though. No picture, as I don't have a digital camera available anymore. Things I've learned: to not go completely by what the pattern says to do lol. It kept saying to put the instep on 1 needle and the heel on 1 as well. I ended up putting both on a set of 2 needles. Another thing I learned. Don't necessarily go by math as it states in the pattern. According to the pattern, I had to go with a cast on of 32 stitches, totalling 64 stitches. That's by math and measuring my foot where it said to. The sock does fit, but is looser (sp?) then I like my socks to be. The mate for this sock will be made in the same size of course (Trina said that if it fit her better then me, she'd pay me for time and yarn), but the next one I'm going to adjust for a slightly snugger fit.
And just to make it official, even if it is only one sock and not the pair (it makes me feel better, after all the failed attempts lol):
Don't worry, I'll be casting on the second sock tomorrow ^_^. No second sock syndrome for me, thank you. I can't wait to start my next pair though. I can totally see the addictiveness of socks!
