I did it!!! I finished my first pair of socks!!!! I wish I could show you guys, but ..well, no digital camera and all. I also just cast on for my second pair. I was trying to do them both at the same time, but got lost and ended up having to do the toes seperately, hopefully I can get myself back on track and do them both at the same time, since I'm not sure exactly how much yarn I've got. I tried to follow the pattern for doing 2 socks at a time, but will admit that I shut the computer off without printing the intructions out. My bad. Oh well. If it doesn't work, I'm sure I'll figure out something. But hey, one toe is done at least. I'm too tired to do the second one though, that'll be for tomorrow to do.
But yay! First pair of socks! Even if they're bigger them I normally have my socks. And yes, I did cast on with less stitches this time. Oddly enough, my gauge was the same as for my last ones, even with using a size smaller needles. So I deducted a few stitches *crosses fingers* Wish me luck!!!!!!!

Actually, when knitting a pair toe-up w/short rows, i knit each toe seperately, then string them onto my two circs and go from there. The short rows make it tricky to try and do them at the same time - it's easier to do them individually and then carry on from there.

So I haven't messed up yet, good to know! Thanks ^_^ I feel more confident now. Though I'm sticking with much the same pattern as I just finished. Not brave enough yet to attempt another one lol. I can't wait to knit more socks though, wish I could get my hands on more yarn! Stupid bills! Always getting in the way of my knitting ^_~
