*blinks* I don't have a clue what's going on with my computer. Now everything's fine again, my folder's right side up again, the icons are no longer there...... and we did nothing to change it. Straaaaaaaaaaaange..........
Hmm, it's interesting how little time you spend on LJ when all you're checking is your friends, not the communities...just the friends. I do miss them though, but hey, I can't sit around forever (yet). But, my back has started to feel better, so I may just have to start catching up, one community at a time.
Funny, I'm reading back to today a year ago. I was selling my HRC pins it seems...and I am again now. Odd, isn't it....I haven't even thought about them in months, and now I decide to try again.
I have realized one thing though, if I compare myself to this time last year. I wasn't stuck behind the computer, waiting for people to show up this year. Though I did find myself wondering if anyone'd call me to wish me Happy New Year, since my family's already way into New Year's Day now, and that's always been something that was done. Well, while I lived in Holland, at least. But you know what....inspite of the odd moment of wondering about that, I wasn't paining myself over it. I wasn't waiting on it, I wasn't expecting anything this time, so it doesn't hurt so much. See, there's one promise I can work on keeping to myself ^_~
No baking this year though. No point really, since Dustin has to work and my back's out anyway. Besides, the only thing I'm in the mood to make, I can't because I don't have a good recipe for it. I've got a yearning for spongecake or sandcake. You know, the fluffy, creamy tasting kind of the simplest of cakes. *licks lips*
