naelanyMight as well make this, so it's ready to roll when I can join in on some swaps! Here goes nothing!
This page is intended to help my swap partners figure out just what the heck to craft for me. Keep in mind, these are just general guidelines. Feel free to surprise me if you have a great idea!

Work: uhm, homemaker, I guess lol.
Activities:
Crafting. Mostly knitting, but I do crochet as well. I do some scrapbooking when I can get away with it. I like making cards, I bead a little, I make stars (Danish Christmas tradition), I love making Christmas ornaments. I do some decoupage. Love making dreamcatchers. I like to cross stitch, am learning to embroider. For ideas of what I do, go here to see some of what I've done. Or, go here for some of the older stuff I've done.
Crafting aside, I love watching movies, either at home or in the theatre. I like cuddling with my hubby, closely followed by the cats. I like to read, and spend a lot of time reading blogs, both on LJ and off.
I also enjoy doing Yoga at the gym. Hanging with my friends. Going on daytrips to the coast or the mountains.
Pets:
Pippin, a beautiful cat who walked into house and heart and never left. He loves pettin's, as long as it's on his terms.
Arwen, a dainty little cat who loves little better then cuddling with mommy. Unless someone has "the blue", if you've got something blue she'll lie with you most times.
(if you decide to give them a treat, please know that their tummies can't handle any fish or liver. Thank you for caring ^_^)
Crafts:
knitting, crochet, embroidery, cross stitch, beading, scrapbooking, card making. As I sad above, just check out what I've done already.
I would like to learn:
to spin, to dye yarn. To sew, to quilt.
Symbols/characters/themes:
cats, bears (both teddy and the natural kind), Native American. Check my wists for more ideas. I try to keep it updated. I also love Disney, especially Winnie the Pooh. Christian is also good.
Colors:
I don't really have a favorite color, as it depends on what mood I'm in as to what I like. But I like most colors. I don't like screaming, in your face type colors though, and I'm not a huge fan of girly-girl colors (think pink) or pastels. I love natural colors, but also reds and purples and blues.
Style:
Ok, here's the toughy. Check my wists again for ideas. I don't have a "set" style. I do like wrap around skirts though, with plenty of fabric so it reaches around me without leaving a gaping hole somewhere.
Sizing:
I'm not a small girl by any means. I wear a women's size 18 (US), or XL. I'm 5'10" tall. I'll try and get some measurements up here soon (yikes)
Hair:
I just cut my hair to about shoulder length. I'd like to keep it out of my face at times, but it's a wee bit too short for ponytails.
Feet:
I wear a size 8.5-9 US. I love wearing ankle socks during the warmer days of the year. I'm just learning to knit socks, but would love more socks that are handmade. I usually am stuck with wearing no or low heel shoes, due to back issues.
Jewelry:
I don't wear a whole lot of jewelry. Don't get me wrong, I like it well enough and I love to drool over pretties. I just hardly ever wear them. I do on special occassions, most times though. I usually only have silver or gold, the real deal, not the coated, as I am allergic to some metals. I do have a ring made of, I believe, sergical steel, which is proving to do well enough with my skin.
Bags:
I usually just have one bag. My little shoulder backpack. I do tote around my knitting quite a bit, and unfortunately most of the time in plastic bags. Which I hate. I have one bag I made for my knitting, but I've got more projects then can fit in there (which knitter doesn't?). I'd love some more ways of carrying my knitting, especially for smaller projects (the bag I have is big!). I'd love to be able to carry along some socks, for example.
Other issues:
Please don't make/send anything that's scented. I'm an asthmatic and I have issues with a lot of scents. I'd hate to get something really cool, only to have to get rid of it because it triggers an attack. If you must send scented candles, the following are known to be ok for me: mullberry, vanilla, lavender or peppermint. Goes for candles, only though. Also, please only swap if you're a non-smoker, as the smoke lingers a long time, and it does affect me a lot. Thank you for not smoking ^_~
Some general wishes:
-Yarn. Lots of different kinds of yarn. No acrylics please, I've used them my whole life and am looking forward to trying something new.
-I need pillows for my couch. I only have 2 and they're about to fall apart lol. I'd love some that are sewn or quilted. The color of the couch now, is grey-ish blue stripes, but I'm hoping to put a green (kinda army-green-ish/olive) cover on it. Probably an idea to use something that compliments the green, but without having any in it?
-toys for my cats, with or without catnip. Must be well put together.
-bamboo knitting needles, circular only. All sizes
-bamboo DPN's. All sizes
-LJ paid account time
-I'm copying Kristen81 and making a craftster quilt! Send me your quilt blocks, please?
-knit socks
-scrapbooking stuff
-pretty coasters that are durable
-Queen sized sheet-set -anything from my wists
-a handmade swap journal, with pre-printed pages (maybe a P&P inspired one?) (Could already really use one!)

-handmade "Thank You" cards, to send to swap partners as a thank you, of course ^_~
-handmade cards for special occassions (like birthdays, anniversaries, birth of baby, etc.)
-proper fabric scissors (the ones I'm using now sucks! Need something good and sharp lol)

Yeah, I'm boring ^_~ I love Harry Potter (both the books and the movies), StarGate SG-1, StarGate Atlantis, Battlestar Gallactica (the new series), I love HGTV's and BBC's home improvement shows. I love Star Trek (all of them) and Star Wars. I also like fantasy and AD&D type books. I absolutely love Pride & Prejudice (the A&E version with Colin Firth). Can't watch that enough ^_^.
I love Ancient Egypt, as well as oriental things. I also like Native American. I guess you could say I have eclectic tastes.
