Bah, bah and again...bah! I got to turning the heel again last night. Guess what? I screwed up. Big time. You're supposed to end up with the same amount of stitches a you started with, I managed to cut them in half, give or take. Don't ask me how, I haven't a clue. Needless to say, I frogged the whole damn thing. Again. I'm giving up on socks for a while. That just depressed me too much to want to try again right now. Fiddlesticks!

It would be quite shocking if there was.

*laughs* Indeed! Heh, speaking of shocking, I gave Dustin a shock earlier today when I said we had to get a giftcard for his kid sister. He got all slackjawed and was all "You, give a giftcard??? I think I'm having a heartattack!". I usually never give them, I hate giving them. Too impersonal for my tastes. But then I explained that they wanted stuff for baby, and I don't know anything about what size diapers he uses and stuff. So...giftcard it'll be..I think

Unfortuntely, there are times when they really are quite practical and helpful......providing the rigamarole for a new baby is one of them.

*nods* Indeed. If I knew what size diapers Caidan uses and all that good stuff, I'd much rather give them that as apposed to a giftcard (that way I also know that it actually goes towards what is said to be wanted. Though with Beppy there's little to worry about in that case). I might try after all. I don't know. There's time yet. I do know one thing, baby stuff isn't all they're going to get. After all, they're people in their own rights, not just mommy and daddy, which people tend to forget when there's a newborn. And I don't want to see that happen

If you know about what he weighs, you'll know what size diaper to get. Everything that is sized for babies goes by average ranges of height/weight.

I'll warn you, though, from my own semi-recent experience...new parents given "stuff" not specifically off of a list from them will inevitably have too many of some things and complete omissions of others. In our case, a good example was clothes.....everyone assumed that everyone else would buy us 0-3 stuff, so everyone got us 3-6 stuff. If it wasn't for donated clothes, Jamie would have had only about 5 things to wear until a month and a half ago! On the other hand, he has more clothes in this size than will fit in his dresser. I've got to keep Freecycling things to make room for warmer things that take up more space.

Mommy and Daddy often forget that they aren't just mommy and daddy, too.

I don't know what he weighs, so that's not much help lol. I also don't know what brand they like to use. The only thing I know for sure about the little guy is that he's not being breastfed, as she's not producing enough milk, which is sad because she really wanted to do the whole breastfeeding thing.

Oh, they're all set for clothes, were even before he was born. Too many people in the family had boys in a short space of time lol, so they got all the hand-me-downs from them.

Yeah, I suppose they do, all the more reason to do something other. by the by, I'm on AIM if you're in want for conversation
