Bah, bah and again...bah! I got to turning the heel again last night. Guess what? I screwed up. Big time. You're supposed to end up with the same amount of stitches a you started with, I managed to cut them in half, give or take. Don't ask me how, I haven't a clue. Needless to say, I frogged the whole damn thing. Again. I'm giving up on socks for a while. That just depressed me too much to want to try again right now. Fiddlesticks!

Aww, I'm sorry hun. Dang, but those heels must be tricky buggers. I know that you've got your YarnPirate friend to help you in person when you get to see her, but have you asked around in Craftgrrl and the knitting communities, in the meantime..just in case? ::hug::

I am working on knitting a scarf with that free yarn (the Bernat is it? the sparkly green stuff) because well, it lets me practice the knit stitch but the furriness of the yarn hides the unattractive knit pattern. However, that yarn is much hard to work with that regular yarn, even on the big needles I got. Though it is easier on the big needles than the smaller ones. Somehow I manage to pick up stitches and I have no idea how I manage that. I have to count very carefully on almost every row to make sure I have the same amount of stitches because for some reason with this yarn I pick them up or drop them very easily and I have no clue how I am doing this because I am paying very close attention. Kind of frustrating because I don't really know how to fix that in knitting.
